🚔 York City Centre Community Update: Anti-Social Behaviour

Your Safer Neighbourhood Team continues to work proactively with partner agencies to tackle reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) in York city centre.

We understand the impact that ASB can have on residents, businesses and visitors, and patrols are being conducted in identified hotspot areas to provide reassurance, deter offending and engage with those involved in causing nuisance or disruption.

Anti-social behaviour can include: • Harassment, alarm or distress caused to others • Street drinking and associated disorder • Aggressive begging • Vandalism and criminal damage • Noise nuisance and other disruptive behaviour

We encourage anyone witnessing ASB to report it. Information from the public helps us identify patterns, target resources effectively and take appropriate action against those responsible.
